SEXSOMNIA are a dark electronic music project founded in October 2021 by multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Philip Faith and bassist Pat Gaudette, later joined by Michael Rien on electronic percussion and synthesizers. Inspired by the sleep disorder sexsomnia, the project combines electro beats, analog synthesizers, dreamlike soundscapes and distinctive dual-bass instrumentation. Drawing influences from The Cure, Joy Division, Giorgio Moroder, Propaganda, Ladytron and Trentemøller, SEXSOMNIA create a sound that moves between darkwave, post-punk and electronic dance music. Following their initial release SINGLES, the project expanded its artistic identity with the debut album TRANSCENDENT, released through Manic Depression Records.
