The Royston Club is a four-piece indie band hailing from Wrexham, North Wales. Formed in early 2019, the band consists of Tom Faithfull (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Ben Matthias (lead guitar and main songwriter), Dave Tute (bass), and Sam Jones (drums). 1  The members became friends in secondary school and share a deep passion for indie music.   

Their song "Shivers" is their latest single, released on April 24, 2025. This track marks their first release of 2025 and displays a new level of confidence in their music. "Shivers" is a love song, written by guitarist Ben Matthias in Beaumaris, a seaside village. The song features swaggering basslines, captivating guitar riffs, and powerful vocals, all packed with an undying energy. It shows a development in their sound, with waves of distorted, melodic guitar and a dynamic loud/quiet structure, drawing comparisons to bands like Hüsker Dü, The Maccabees, and Bloc Party. The lyrics explore the universally relatable feeling of being completely captivated by romance.
