DEAFDEAFDEAF are an independent band from Greater Manchester, UK, carving out a reputation as one of the most uncompromising and dynamic new acts in the North’s post-punk and shoegaze scene. Their sound is a ferocious blend of disarming shoegaze, feedback-laced post-punk, and Mancunian grit, filled with both chaos and clarity — music that roars with emotion while staring down the noise.

Praised by Louder Than War as “a mile away from the average indie bllocks and a marker for the Next Next Wave,”* DEAFDEAFDEAF’s music fuses jagged textures with poetic melancholy. SPEW hailed their command of “dynamic levels and harsh noise”, while Gigwise and VOICE lauded the band’s emotionally raw live performances, describing them as “chaos and intensity that must be experienced firsthand.” Whether in a packed venue or a DIY basement, they summon atmosphere and disorder in equal measure — “forging chaos in even the most unconventional of spaces” (YUCK).

“Milsbeek” encapsulates the spirit of DEAFDEAFDEAF — a haunting, visceral exploration of disillusionment, memory, and the ache of growing up amidst decay. It unfolds like a fever dream: swirling guitars rise and collapse into distortion, vocals hover between defiance and despair, and the rhythm pulses like a heartbeat just on the edge of breaking.

It’s music that feels alive — unpredictable, cinematic, and deeply human. With “Milsbeek,” DEAFDEAFDEAF reaffirm their place in the evolving Manchester lineage: loud, fearless, and impossible to ignore.
