Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, Ten Eighty Trees are the turquoise-clad alternative-rock trio proudly flying the flag for their self-described “dungareecore.” Their sound pulls together big rock riffs, grunge attitude, emo intensity and the alternative-rock energy of the ’90s and ’00s, while their songwriting confronts self-doubt, mental pressure and the chaos of modern life. Following summer EP Bittersweet Coming Of Age, the band return with “Always On,” a standalone single that pushes their increasingly groove-heavy sound into darker territory.
