Za Noon is the solo project of Jess Zanoni, who is also the frontwoman of the Melbourne-based alt-rock band Arbes. Jess Zanoni is also a writer and the current Program Coordinator of the Emerging Writers' Festival.

Her song "Beg" was released on March 19, 2025, after she signed with Third Eye Stimuli Records. This track marks her first release under the Za Noon moniker in four years and represents a new sonic direction, trading in synths for guitar. "Beg" is described as a tender and emotive alt-folk proclamation with Zanoni's ethereal vocals taking the lead. Backing her on this track are Isaac Gunnoo on bass, her Arbes bandmate Sam Pannifex on guitar and production, and Georgia Farry on drums. According to Za Noon, "Beg" is about the intense love for another person, feeling so fundamental that you'd protect it at all costs, even to your own detriment.
