LuciGenic are a rising alternative rock duo hailing from Manchester, UK. Fronted by vocalist and songwriter Lucy Davies, alongside guitarist and producer Steve Wright, the band channels a powerful blend of 90s-inspired indie rock, grunge, and post-punk energy. Since forming in the late 2010s, LuciGenic have built a reputation for direct, emotionally charged songs and dynamic live shows. Drawing inspiration from iconic acts like PJ Harvey and Garbage, they’ve become known for combining gritty guitar riffs, raw lyrics, and a no-nonsense attitude that resonates with fans of honest, guitar-driven rock.

“Comfort Zone”:Released as part of their ongoing string of singles, “Comfort Zone” sees LuciGenic pushing themselves—and their listeners—beyond the familiar. The track combines Lucy’s fierce vocals with tight, propulsive guitar work, capturing the tension between staying safe and risking growth. Lyrically, it confronts complacency and the fear of stepping into the unknown, all wrapped in a hook-heavy alt-rock package. With “Comfort Zone,” LuciGenic continue to carve out their place as one of Manchester’s most compelling underground acts, delivering a bold reminder that sometimes you have to get uncomfortable to really feel alive.
