Wynona Bleach are a Northern Irish quartet fusing epic shoegaze textures with melodic alt-rock clarity. Officially formed in Belfast in 2018, the band arrived already road-hardened, having previously toured internationally—including Reading & Leeds Festivals and a 10-date Russian headline tour—under an earlier moniker. After releasing early singles and a self-titled EP, Wynona Bleach took a bold creative leap: relocating a studio from Belfast to an abandoned warehouse in Portugal, where they lived and recorded their debut album. Delayed by the pandemic and released in 2023, the record earned critical attention, Northern Ireland Music Prize nominations (Best Album & Best Live Act), and support from Fierce Panda Records. Extensive UK and Irish touring, plus appearances at SXSW and New Colossus in the US, have cemented their reputation as a powerful live band with international momentum.
