Tigercub are a critically acclaimed English power trio fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jamie Hall, known for their maximalist production, crushing riffs, and melodic intensity. Blending alternative rock, post-grunge, and heavy atmospherics, the band carved out a distinct identity with their debut album Abstract Figures in the Dark (2016). Their second record, As Blue as Indigo (2021), pushed them into wider recognition, earning a UK Top 20 album and expanded critical praise. With Perfume of Decay (2023), released via Loosegroove Records (run by Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard and Brad’s Regan Hagar), Tigercub doubled down on their dense, heavy, and emotionally charged sound.

“I’m Breaking Out” signals a restless new chapter for the band. The track channels confinement, release, and internal pressure, pairing abrasive textures with Hall’s sharp melodic instincts. It leans into a darker, more industrial edge while retaining Tigercub’s signature sense of emotional urgency and scale. As part of their upcoming album Nets to Catch the Wind (out April 10, 2026), “I’m Breaking Out” feels like a declaration—less about escape for escape’s sake, and more about survival through intensity, volume, and motion.
