VLADS are a high-energy indie rock band from south east Queensland, formed in late 2023 and driven by a simple mission: good tunes, wild live shows, and making people feel better when the music ends. Frontman Kai Vladusic first linked up with drummer Callum Watson on the very day their debut single Ordinary was recorded—what began as a session quickly turned into a full band. Soon after, Matthew Norrish (guitar) and Edin Duke (bass/vocals) joined, completing a lineup built on genuine friendship rather than industry planning. After a year touring Australia alongside The Terrys and Beddy Rays, VLADS quickly earned a reputation as a road-tested, crowd-first band with unstoppable momentum. Drawing inspiration from Skegss, Dominic Fike, Hockey Dad, and icons like Elvis Presley, their sound blends surf-rock looseness with classic pop charm and modern indie punch.

“Suzuki” captures everything VLADS stand for: freedom, movement, and the joy of not overthinking life. The song leans into breezy melodies and punchy rhythms, reflecting the band’s love of the beach, surfing, and shared experiences with mates. Like much of their catalogue, it balances laid-back vibes with moments of explosive energy, designed as much for sweaty live singalongs as for late-night drives. “Suzuki” isn’t about polish or perfection—it’s about momentum, connection, and chasing fun at full speed. With 2026 positioned as their breakout year, VLADS make it clear this is only the beginning, fueled by ambition, camaraderie, and a burning desire to become full-blown rockstars.
