Redlane is a four-piece indie rock band from Berkshire, England, formed in the summer of 2024 by school friends Jacob (lead vocals and keyboard), James (lead guitar and backing vocals), Jasper (drums), and George (bass). The group first gained attention with their debut EP Electric Chair, which amassed over 25,000 streams and secured international radio play. Known for their high-energy performances, driving rhythms, and the distinctive vocals of Jacob, redlane’s sound channels the raw, rebellious spirit of indie rock while maintaining a melodic, hook-filled edge. They’ve quickly built a live following, performing across the UK and selling out shows, including a notable gig at The Libra in Camden during summer 2025.
Their single “Deep End,” released on August 7, 2025, marks what the band describes as a “new era” in their creative evolution. The track pairs intense, anthemic instrumentals with emotionally charged lyrics that capture feelings of disorientation, yearning, and emotional conflict. Lines like “Last night was a blur. I saw your face knocking at her’s… Deep end gutters… Greatest fantasy, Greatest calamity…” illustrate the tension between fantasy and reality, hope and despair. With its vivid imagery and pulsing energy, “Deep End” plunges listeners into the emotional turbulence at the heart of redlane’s songwriting.
