The Wytches are a four-piece English rock band known for their dark, heavy sound that blends elements of garage, surf rock, and psychedelia. Formed in Brighton, the band has built a reputation for its raw and raucous energy, often drawing comparisons to '90s grunge and other vintage rock sounds. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Kristian Bell, bassist Daniel Rumsey, keyboardist/guitarist Mark Breed, and drummer Bhavin Thaker.

The song "Black Ice" is a new single that marks a fascinating turn for the band. According to Kristian Bell, the track was born from his time working at a record shop and listening to a lot of '60s music. He was particularly struck by how a song like "Till The End Of The Day" by The Kinks could sound heavier than many modern metal bands. This observation inspired him to create a sound that could be "heavy" and "blow your head off" without relying on the typical sonic tricks of modern production. As a result, "Black Ice" is a gritty, live-recorded track with a raw, almost distorted power. It's a bold experiment in harnessing the energy of classic rock and translating it through The Wytches' unique, unsettling lens.
