She's In Parties is a hazy and ethereal four-piece alternative/indie rock band from Brighton/Essex, UK. The band is named after the 1983 Bauhaus single and consists of Irish-born frontperson Katie Dillon (vocals/guitar), Herbie Wiseman (guitar), Matt Carman (drums), and Charlie Johnson (bass).

Despite their relatively young years, She's In Parties has quickly garnered attention for their idiosyncratic blend of shoegaze, dream-pop, and indie rock, infused with a punk energy in their live shows. They draw cues from influences like Tears For Fears, Cocteau Twins, and The Cure, successfully marrying classic and contemporary sounds. Their music is characterized by dreamy, reverbed atmospherics, interlocking textures, and a wall of sound that is both haunting and effortlessly cool. They are praised for their masterful knack for weaving emotional intensity through cohesive lyrical and musical storytelling. Signed to Submarine Cat Records, they have a reputation for "feral live shows" and have played at various festivals.

"Same Old Story" is a new single by She's In Parties, officially released today, July 22, 2025. It serves as a preview of their upcoming new EP, "Are You Dreaming?", which is set for release on November 7, 2025. A music video for "Same Old Story," directed by Polocho, was also released.

Lyrically, "Same Old Story" delves into the complex emotions surrounding making a significant life decision, particularly a move, and the subsequent feelings of regret and internal conflict. Lead vocalist and songwriter Katie Dillon explained the song as "just a back and forth moment between making the decision to move away and having feelings of regret." She also noted that the song features "a few voices within the song all saying different things, a bit like the devil and angel on your shoulder," implying an internal dialogue about choices and their aftermath. The title itself, "Same Old Story," suggests a recurring pattern of emotional struggle or a familiar feeling of doubt and longing.
