New Music: The Mayflies USA - Kickless Kids

The Mayflies USA, a power pop band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, have made a notable return with their new single "Kickless Kids", the title track from their forthcoming album set to release on May 16, 2025, via Yep Roc Records

Formed in 1996, the band—comprising Matt McMichaels, Matt Long, Adam Price, and David Liesegang—gained acclaim in the late '90s and early 2000s with albums like Summertown and The Pity List. After disbanding in 2002, they reunited for occasional shows and began working on new material in 2024. 

"Kickless Kids" reflects on themes of aging and nostalgia, with bassist Adam Price describing it as "looking back at your youth from further along."  The album was produced by Tim Harper, known for his work with The Connells, and features contributions from original drummer David Liesegang and new member Tony Stiglitz. Band Page: https://www.instagram.com/themayfliesusa/
