No Joy is a Canadian shoegaze/dream-pop band founded in 2009 in Montreal, led by Jasamine White‑Gluz. Originally a duo with Laura Lloyd, the project has evolved into a solo-driven endeavor backed by versatile collaborators. Renowned for its dreamy yet dynamic sound—merging layered guitar distortion, ethereal vocals, and unexpected bursts of noise—No Joy has built an acclaimed discography with records like Ghost Blonde (2010), Wait to Pleasure (2013), and Motherhood (2020). The band is known for defying genre constraints, shifting from hazy reverie to raw intensity, and captivating audiences with both expansive studio work and visceral live shows.

“Bits” is a standout track from No Joy’s upcoming album Bugland, set for release on August 8, 2025, via Hand Drawn Dracula Records. Crafted in collaboration with electronic artist Fire‑Toolz (Angel Marcloid), the song weaves glitchy beats, pulsing bass, and distorted shoegaze textures into a compact 3:39 sonic journey. It marks a bold move toward blending Korn‑like low-end aggression with dream-pop sensibility, underscoring No Joy’s ongoing evolution from lo-fi haze into a bolder, more electronic terrain
