Doss is the solo project of Sorley Mackay, a self-taught musician from Glasgow, Scotland. The project began during lockdown in a bedroom setup and quickly evolved into a fierce blend of DIY post-punk and electronic music. Doss is known for combining minimalist beats, driving basslines, and raw, emotionally intense Glaswegian vocals. With a sound that thrives on tension and truth, Doss has become a vital part of the Scottish underground scene, earning attention for live sets that crackle with energy and unfiltered lyricism.

Hungry” is track three on Doss’s 2024 EP Bootlicker. The song is built on a foundation of stripped-back rhythms and sharp post-punk guitar textures, paired with vocals that deliver frustration, desire, and emotional restlessness with striking clarity. True to its title, “Hungry” explores themes of yearning—whether for meaning, connection, or escape—through its jagged arrangements and stark delivery. It captures the essence of Doss’s sonic signature: direct, vulnerable, and sonically fierce.
