Sour Tongue are a Los Angeles-based punk/alternative band formed in the early 2020 pandemic by vocalist Satori Marill and guitarist John Murphy. Their sound fuses punk rock, grunge, riot grrrl attitude, disco influences, and bursts of sonic absurdity, creating music that’s ferocious, witty, and emotionally unfiltered. Over the past few years, the band have developed a global fanbase with a string of singles and an EP, and have toured the U.S., including dates supporting industrial rock heavyweights KMFDM.
“I Thought You Liked Me!” is a short, explosive punk anthem built around raw emotion and sharp lyrical humour. Driven by gritty guitars and punchy rhythms, the song explores the messy aftermath of manipulation and heartbreak — a near-universal feeling turned into a cathartic blast of energy. With its blunt honesty and head-down momentum, the track captures Sour Tongue’s ability to turn personal turmoil into fierce, sing-along defiance
