ROTHCO is a band hailing from Hull, UK, comprised of veterans of the local music scene who have previously played in bands such as Bunkerpop, Black Ravines, Stuka, Big River, Black Delta Movement, and Bedsit. Their sound is a blend of Gothic New Wave with influences from iconic bands like The Doors, Talking Heads, Joy Division, and Fugazi, incorporating elements of Swans-esque noise rock and agit-punk. They've also been described as blending abrasive punk, brooding psychedelic sounds, disco, and gothic post-punk.

Their single "Fools Gold", released on March 11, 2025, seems to be the title track of their upcoming debut EP, which is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, via Man Demolish Records.
