After almost a decade of friendship, Scott Dalton and Jackson James Smith decided to merge their collective talents and form the duo that was always inevitable. Steering away from the traditional Coastal Australian surfing laidback acoustic sound, the two decided to follow in the footsteps of great soul artists who pushed boundaries musically such as Stevie Wonder and D’angelo. It was in Coolangatta, Queensland Australia that Buttered was formed. ‘We’re passionate solely about sharing this music that we’ve created from a place within ourselves and its epic doing it as best mates!’
