Music Discovery of the Day: London Graffiti - These Words

London Graffiti emerged from the outer suburbs of Oxford in 2016. Their sound (post punk/late grunge merged with indie guitar and sharp pop melodies) is introspective and emotional and at times, anthemic and expansive. Notable musical influences are Joy Division, Doves, Editors, The National or War on drugs.

The band comprises JP Davies (vocals and rhythm guitar), Paddy Chatterton (bass guitar), Warren Hobden (lead guitar) and Chris Sinclair (percussion). With roots in France, Canada, Switzerland and the UK, they have honed a five instrument creative process influenced by landscape, urban lives and the human challenge. Graffiti is an expression of a voice seeking to be heard. London Graffiti’s music conveys the urgency of our times, the struggles of modern life and the dramas we collectively act.
