Alffa are a Welsh duo from Llanrug, made up of guitarist-vocalist Dion Wyn Jones and drummer Sion Eifion Land. Since forming in 2015, they’ve built their reputation by delivering raw, rocking energy in the Welsh language, mixing blues rock grit with punk attitude. Their breakthrough came with songs like Gwenwyn, which became the first Welsh-language track to hit over a million streams, raising them beyond their local scene.

Released in 2024, “Breathe Free” marks Alffa’s return after a few years away. It’s loud, bold, and unapologetic: heavy guitars, fierce drums, and lyrics screaming for release from internal battles. The song combines hard rock power with introspective weight, driven by a message of self-acceptance and personal freedom.
