Music of the Day: Wolfnaut - Brother of the Badlands

Forged in the sounds of early hard rock and metal, and the desert and stoner rock scene that exploded in the mid-1990s, WOLFNAUT (formerly known as Wolfgang) has made it a quest to investigate the musical landscapes between melodic and hooky twin-guitar based songs, and sludgy and doomy stoner rock. Hailing from the deep forests of Elverum, Norway, WOLFNAUT released its debut album in 1998. After touring the band went on an indefinite hiatus before reforming again in 2013. WOLFNAUT’s second album, "Castle in the Woods", was released in 2016. In 2022 WOLFNAUT released "III", the album that brought the band's Norwegian woodlands blend of catchy heavy rock and doomy stoner tunes to a wider international audience.
