Music of the Day: CHUTNEY ft. Ilan Kidron - Toxic Moonlight

Chutney is an Aussie klezmer band with a twist. Drawing on their Eastern European and Middle Eastern heritage, they play a spicy mix of original bangers and fresh takes on traditional dance tunes. Comprising clarinet, violin, keyboard, bass, percussion and drums - plus guest singers - Chutney hopscotches from folk to pop, jazz to tango, classical to funk, east to west. The band made their Sydney Festival debut in 2022 at the Sydney Opera House. They recently headlined CresFest, in Creswick, Victoria, and have toured the east coast of Australia multiple times, playing to sold-out crowds in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra plus a bevy of regional towns including Newcastle, Wodonga and Lithgow.
