TV CULT is a post-punk quartet from Cologne, Germany, formed in October 2018. The band consists of frontman Marco Natale on vocals, guitarist Martin Hughes, drummer Florian Stadtfeld, and bassist Michael Zeininger. Their sound blends influences from Joy Division, The Cure, and New Order with contemporary post-punk energy, creating music that exists somewhere between The Cure and Minor Threat. The band emerged from Cologne's underground scene with a DIY ethos and released their sophomore album "Industry" in October 2025 via Flight13 Records—a darker, more politically urgent work tackling capitalism, religious hypocrisy, and contemporary global conflicts.

"Overpressure" is the second track and third single from TV CULT's "Industry" album, representing one of the band's most direct political statements. Written after the band learned about blast overpressure injuries sustained by children in Gaza, the song evolved into a broader expression of rage against the treatment of children in all war zones. Musically influenced by The Cure, it features sparse guitars layered over driving bass and drums, building from a laid-back, tension-filled atmosphere to an intense, cathartic chorus with harsh, shouted vocals. The accompanying music video takes viewers through the fluorescent-lit, empty spaces of Cologne's metro system, creating a haunting visual companion that mirrors the song's shift from restrained intensity to full-throttle fury.
