Music Discovery of the Day: The Elegant Chasers - The Hungry Ghost

The enigma of who is behind The Elegant Chasers has been resolved. Just like there was on Foo Fighters debut album, there is only one mastermind behind the name - songwriter, guitarist & multi instrumentalist Maz Loizou. Having suddenly been made redundant during lockdown Maz retrained as a fire alarms engineer, a million miles away from his career as a TV producer. Feeling cheated & emotionally drained Maz set about writing songs on his car journeys around a derelict London in his new role. He built his own home studio with the idea of recording music & to make a solo album! Having been a founding member of prolific underground band MiRMiS it was time to break the shackles. Following on from singles “Let’s Ride”, “Sunshine Mourning”, “Clowns” & “Car Salesman Smile", debut album SENTIMENTAL DUST, to much praise, was released 8th July '22 on digital stores & streaming services along with a special CD edition.
