Music Discovery of the Day: Pomona Park - Stormy Weather

Formed in 2021 beginning as a lockdown project, “youthful optimism and lyrical charm” power Manchester’s POMONA PARK. That and an overriding passion for riffy, hooky indie guitar that nods towards legends, The Smiths, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys or new kids on the block The Lathums, The Royston Club or The Lottery Winners. POMONA PARK’s debut single ‘Overdrink’ quickly made an impact reaching No. 4 on the UK Alternative Chart and breaking into the UK Main Chart’s Top 100. Subsequent releases have also seen chart success, hitting the UK Alternative Chart in the Top 20 multiple times. POMONA PARK have made a name for themselves in a very short period of time. After selling out venues such as Gulliver’s and The Lion’s Den within their first year, the lads have amassed a small army of loyal fans, also performing at some of Manchester's most iconic venues, including The Deaf Institute and the Band On The Wall with more city centre showcases upcoming this summer. To date they have released five singles beginning with ‘Overdrink’, followed by ‘Bothered’ and ‘Pillow Talk’ (all in 2022), then ‘Stormy Weather’ and ‘Love You Better’ in 2023. Band Page:
