ing Violet’s debut EP ‘Do Me a Favour’ takes their listeners through their turbulent coming of age. Singer Mai Anderson delivers stories of mud soaked festivals, outrage, rich blue summer skies, a temperamental cat, facing misogyny, first love and heartbreak with determination, guts and eye-rolling retort. Their sound brings together the overdriven guitars, pulsating drums and grit of modern indie bands such as Wolf Alice with the drama and dreamy backing vocals of 2000s pop.The band have previously booked gigs alongside artists such as King Nun, Honeyglaze, and Cruel Hearts club. Their most recent headline show at The Night and Day Café in Manchester was featured on The Manc and MCR Wire weekly gig guides.
