Music Discovery of the Day: GRXCE - Everything I Wanted

At the end of 2021, a drummer and a bassist answered a dodgy ad in a Facebook group and ended up in a Zoom call with a singer and a guitarist. What sounds like the start of a bad joke is actually the origin story of Eora four-piece GRXCE. Since coining the tagline “sad music you can dance to,” bandmates Jamila Grace (vocals & rhythm guitar), Jonathan Amirzaian (lead guitar), Emily Elvish (bass), & Alex Berger (drums) have entered the Australian music scene in a glorious blaze, landing triple j Unearthed rotation, Apple & Spotify Editorial playlisting, and support from The Music, MTV, Domestic La La, The AU Review, The Australian Music Scene, and more in just six months since their debut release.
