Leeds (UK)-based newcomers, the incongruously named Fuzz Lightyear have signed to Nice Swan Records, previously home to the likes of English Teacher, prior to their Mercury Prize win and Dublin band Sprints. Today (September 18th), the band releases their raw and explosive new single, “My Body.” Emerging from basement jams and scrappy house shows, Fuzz Lightyear blend shoegaze, industrial noise-rock, and punk with a fierce, fast-paced energy that sounds more than capable of launching them “to infinity and beyond.”Influenced by bands like Sonic Youth and Show Me The Body, the quartet embrace a DIY spirit, driving their loud, energetic live performances and constant experimentation.
