Fig started as a writing and recording project of vocalist Tim Burnett, after he threw out his digital recording process, and began experimenting with tape machines and older analogue gear. One by one, new and old friends joined to help bring the project to life. The result, Fig's debut album , was released in 2020 to much local acclaim in Australian music circles.
