Hailing from the Gold Coast, Cosmic Vice emerged in 2022 when childhood friends Arden and Liam decided to turn their shared passion for non-jazz rock into something more. The duo, previously bandmates in school, grew into a full-fledged indie/surf rock band with the addition of bassist Nick, and Lead Guitarist Sam, who joined after a chance meeting during a night fill shift at Coles. In mid 2022 CV won the battle of the bands for Dream Sound festival alongside acclaimed acts like The Terrys, Lazy Ghost, and Ra Ra Viper.
