Music Discovery of the Day: Amber Scates- Hold on you

Amber Scates is an Australian artist and performer with over 10 years of experience in rock music, musical theatre, cabaret and burlesque. At the age of 13 she started an Indie-Rock band RAKSHA, where over 5 years she released 2 EPs and multiple singles, all whilst being accompanied by her parents to the pubs, clubs and festival all around Perth.She then went on to spend 4 years studying Musical Theatre at WAAPA, building and refining her artistry. She then moved to Melbourne to pursue a career as an artist, where she toured with a variety of shows including cabaret, improvisation and rock bands.Once settled in Melbourne she met co-writer and Producer Ben Provest, who supported her in releasing her debut single under her own name, with the help of Producer Kyle Charles Hall who she studied with only years before. During this time she built a platform on social media posting daily quirky inspirational videos, where she racked up over 75k in followers.
