Canada produced a number of coming-of-age movies this year, but none was more strikingly original than this BC based first feature. Hope is a 16-year-old trying to navigate the shoals of adolescence. This is complicated by two things: her grandmother is dying from lung cancer, and she must now find new living arrangements. Secondly, her mother is a member of a tantric sex religious cult.
