From the moment nine-year-old Samay falls in love with the film, he never misses a day that he doesn't sneak into the cinema. This „obsession“ with film spreads to his group of friends and together they try to build a projector. However, his father, who owns a small tea stall at the local train station, isn't exactly thrilled with his son's plans and Samay has to endure several beatings to „cure“ him of his fondness for film.
