Responsible for the maintenance of a wealthy residence located in a hamlet in the north of Portugal and abandoned by its owners, Emília meticulously carries out her tasks, helped on a daily basis by her friend Ana, herself married and mother of a teenage girl. Tired, Ana tries to understand the reasons that push Emília to get so involved when no one seems to be interested in the house. One day, Ana's husband, long-term unemployed and desperate by his situation, is offered the opportunity to go to work in France. At first reluctant about the idea of leaving her country, Ana ends up being interested in this option. Winner Special Jury Award, Festival del Cinema Europeo 2023.
