Movie of the Day: Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell (2023) by Thien An Pham

A tragic motorcycle accident occurs in Saigon, in which a woman dies, and her 5-year-old son, Dao, miraculously survives. Designated to bring the body of his sister-in-law back to his native village, Thien decides to take the young Dao with him. Once there, he goes looking for his brother who disappeared a few years ago. It is in this Vietnamese countryside that he finds himself face to face, trying to understand the reason why these tragic events occurred. He then understands that this is a quest for his own faith and hopes that this long journey will allow him to find meaning in his life. 5 wins & 13 nominations international film festivals.
