Sensitive and birdlike, Árni works as a handyman in a small, seedy traveling circus that tours the rural areas. The company is made up of a family that runs the circus: Árni is the only outsider. Árni's days revolve around his daily duties, which include feeding the animals and performing various tasks for the circus. He lives like a monk, but still has needs.
