(Documentary) Movie of the Day: Mexican Dream (2023) by Laura Plancarte

Malena had her tubes tied after an abusive relationship. She fled to Mexico City looking for a better life, but her ex-husband gained custody of their children despite their fight. Today she has a new partner and is finishing building the house where she dreams of living with her three children and a new baby. However, now that she is older, she needs in vitro fertilization treatment to have a second chance. Malena's children punish her for feeling abandoned, while her partner threatens to leave if the in vitro fertilization fails. Will he be able to unite his family and make his dreams come true?
